Princess Kate extended an olive branch to Harry

According to British newspapers, Princess Kate called Prince Harry late at night to encourage his brother-in-law during a difficult career period. However, the fact that the Princess of Wales extended an olive branch does not mean that Prince William has forgiven his younger brother.

On August 13, Closer Weekly ‘s (UK) private source revealed that Princess Kate called her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, late at night as a kind gesture in an effort to mend their broken relationship. The Duke of Sussex with the British Royal family.

Also according to the source, throughout the family turmoil, the relationship between Kate and Harry did not change.

“Kate has contacted Harry to tell him to keep his head high and not worry too much about temporary setbacks. Now, she feels sorry for him. Watching him go through it all was difficult and heartbreaking for her, especially since his trial took place so close to their home,” the source said.

However, the source emphasized that even though Kate is said to extend an olive branch to her brother-in-law, that does not mean Prince William agrees to forgive his brother.

“This is clearly an extremely sensitive and delicate situation between many other senior members of the royal family, especially Prince William. He said he wasn’t ready to sit down with Harry for settlement talks or any kind of open dialogue for that matter. But Kate wants to keep in touch and pave the way for a more friendly relationship in the long run with the whole family,” the source explained.

Representatives for the Duke of Sussex and Kensington Palace did not comment on the Closer Weekly article .

Previously, a royal insider told OK! Harry and Meghan want to reconcile with their brother and his wife. They even took specific actions. Sources say the Sussexes are offering to rent an apartment at Kensington Palace and decorate the interior themselves.

“He hopes it will please William and show they are serious about getting back together,” the source said, noting that Harry is also concerned about becoming “a prisoner of the palace.”

However, experts on the British Royal Family believe that reconciliation between the two sons of King Charles and Princess Diana will not happen soon.

Sarah Hewson, Talk TV’s royal affairs editor, commented on Sky News Australia : “I don’t see any signs of that. The injury is so deep, it will take more time and effort to heal it. At this stage, I do not see any evidence that either side wants to end, forgive and forget the past.”

Nick Bullen, co-founder of True Royalty TV, also believes that a reunion between William and Harry is still far away. According to experts, it is impossible for the two brothers to close the gap on their own. They need to be motivated by others, or even push them into a situation where they are forced to sit down at the table to talk.

“But I think it’s difficult to know how that happened. Everyone has entrenched views. During the coronation ceremony, seating was carefully planned so that they did not have to interact with each other. I think it requires a big apology from both sides and that’s unlikely to happen,” Mr. Bullen said.

In early August, Harry was stripped of the honorific denoting his royal status “His Royal Highness” on the British Royal website. King Charles also did not invite his youngest son and his wife to attend the family gathering to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II on the year of her death.
