Exhausted and overwhelmed, Genevieve’s life was consumed by caring for her newborn twins, Lily and Lucas. While her neighborhood buzzed with excitement over Halloween, she barely had the energy to notice. Meanwhile, her neighbor Brad, the self-proclaimed “Halloween King,” took pride in his elaborate decorations, turning his home into a haunted spectacle every year.
One morning, Genevieve found her car completely covered in eggs. Furious, she immediately confronted Brad, who casually admitted to egging it because her car blocked the view of his Halloween display. Dismissive of her struggles as a new mom, Brad arrogantly shrugged it off, sparking Genevieve’s anger.
Instead of confronting him further, Genevieve devised a clever plan. She suggested Brad “upgrade” his Halloween setup with cheap, unreliable equipment. Brad, eager to outshine the neighborhood, took her advice.
On Halloween night, Brad’s display malfunctioned as Genevieve had anticipated—fog machines sputtered, projectors failed, and his giant Frankenstein collapsed, turning his show into a neighborhood joke.
The next day, Brad sheepishly apologized to Genevieve for his actions. She accepted, knowing she had the last laugh.
