Despite the outward appearance of a perfect relationship, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are increasingly being predicted to divorce soon. While such a situation was once considered nearly unacceptable in the royal family, times have changed. Take, for example, Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, and her divorce from Prince Charles, now King Charles III.
Back then, the situation was complicated because Prince Charles was the heir apparent, and Queen Elizabeth II was strongly opposed. Yet even she couldn’t use her authority to reconcile the Waleses. In the case of the king’s younger son, things are much simpler—if we overlook Meghan Markle’s contentious nature.
She will likely want to secure as much as possible from her ex-husband, significantly reducing his family wealth. And that’s not all. In her typical public persona, the actress will start to build her fame on scandal, promptly giving interviews left and right.
One can be sure that there will be plenty of negativity with juicy details, not just about Harry, but about all his aristocratic relatives.
In the event of a divorce, Meghan will come out on top. Besides financial gains, she will retain the title of Duchess of Sussex, just as Sarah Ferguson continued to call herself the Duchess of York after her divorce from Prince Andrew.
