Designer Will Brough abandoned traditional architecture and built a 232 square meter house from 11 shipping containers. The man paid special attention to the interior of the premises. It turned out really impressive!
Will’s new home is located on McGowan Street in Houston.
According to the owner, his 11 container home is the largest of its kind.
The containers form a three-story structure with a roof terrace
Bro had been dreaming of building a house since the early 2000s, but couldn’t find a designer, so he took matters into his own hands.
“I started looking for suitable projects. As a result, he hired a designer and builders who were required to design a 3-story townhouse. It went around in circles for several months, and in the end I had to fire the group because they couldn’t give me what I wanted,” said the designer
Work on the project began in 2011
The idea of building from containers appeared long before it became a trend.
“Cargo containers are strong, fire-resistant, durable, hurricane-resistant.”
Bro is not a professional builder, so he had no idea how to implement his idea, but he was determined
First, the designer created a 3D sketch. After spending many hours learning how to build from containers, Bro is now the proud owner of an impressive 232 sq ft home. m.
