Prince William and Kate Middleton are raising three children—11-year-old George, 9-year-old Charlotte, and 6-year-old Louis. The older children of the couple often appear in public and at social events, whereas Louis doesn’t accompany his parents everywhere.
Royal biographer Richard Fitzwilliams believes that there is no conspiracy theory at play. In his opinion, it all comes down to the unpredictable behavior of little Louis.
For example, he made a lot of funny faces and acted silly on camera during the annual Trooping The Colour parade in London. Of course, Louis’s antics are due to his age, but Kate and William don’t want their son’s behavior to distract from the event for which everyone has gathered.
Additionally, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge prefer not to draw unnecessary attention to their youngest child. They aim to balance between privacy and the desire to attend events as a full family.
It’s clear that Prince George is chosen for certain events because of his age and status. The same goes for Charlotte. Louis is the youngest, and Kate and William are protective of him. Moreover, the younger the children, the more likely they are to make faces and become the stars of the show! The press enjoys this, but it detracts from the main event, as explained by Richard.
