Luke Perry’s daughter posted a sweet tribute to Shannen Doherty after the actress’s death.
Sophie Perry shared a throwback photo of her late father and Doherty — who played love interests Dylan McKay and Brenda Walsh, respectively, on “Beverly Hills, 90210” — all dolled up and smiling together while he grabbed her pearl necklace with his teeth.
The 24-year-old added a white heart emoji to the picture on her Instagram Story Sunday.
The former castmates had a close bond while filming the hit ’90s teen drama, and they kept in touch until Luke died of a stroke in 2019. He was 52.
“It was shocking. I have a very visceral reaction whenever someone brings up Luke because as someone with cancer — and a really horrible cancer at stage 4 — I thought I would be the first to go. So when it was Luke, it really just sent me for a tailspin,” Doherty told MegaCon Orlando attendees in February.
She previously called the late actor a “smart, quiet, humble and complex man with a heart of gold and never-ending well of integrity and love” shortly after his death.
“There is a special kind of love one has for each other when you are experiencing the journey we did on ‘90210’ and, of course, life in general,” Doherty told People at the time.
“I will miss him every day. Every minute. Every second.”
Just over five years later, the “Charmed” star lost her battle with cancer Saturday. She was 53.
“The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace,” her longtime publicist, Leslie Sloane, said.
Doherty first announced her breast cancer diagnosis in 2015, but it went into remission two years later.
However, by 2019, she revealed the disease came back as stage 4 and eventually spread to her brain and bones.
Just a few weeks before her death, the TV star shared that she had been “hopeful” about a new chemotherapy plan.
Several of Doherty’s former “90210” and “Charmed” co-stars have since shared tributes, including her on-again, off-again friend Alyssa Milano.
“It’s no secret that Shannen and I had a complicated relationship, but at its core was someone I deeply respected and was in awe of,” Milano, 51, said in a statement to Page Six.
