Young Girl From Viral Moment at Taylor Swift Concert Loses Cancer Battle

A young cancer patient who got to meet Taylor Swift during a concert in Sydney earlier this year has died.

Scarlett Oliver, who was nine years old at that time, was suffering from a type of brain cancer.

Her father, Paul, announced her death on Instagram.

When she went to Sydney to see one of Taylor Swift’s concerts in February, nine-year-old Scarlett was chosen to be part of the performance of her hit song “22.”

She got to meet the famous singer after walking on stage during the song’s final segment. Swift then gave the child her hat.

During the concert’s opening night, Swift and Scarlett were able to share a big hug.

A few weeks later, the young cancer patient’s father released a statement on social media about his daughter’s condition.

He said that her illness had worsened and that she might only have a couple of weeks left.

Scarlett spent most of her school holidays in the hospital due to various complications, such as vomiting and a feeding tube.

After she was discharged, she reportedly suffered a seizure. Her death was announced by her father on Instagram, and the people who followed her journey paid tribute to her.

One of the messages sent to Scarlett by her fans stated that she was bigger than the sky.

She touched many people’s hearts and was just days away from turning 10.
