A lawyer from Argentina named as Miss Universe Buenos Aires is one step closer to becoming the oldest competitor in the pageant’s history.
Although she thought she was already past her prime, Ms. Rodriquez reconsidered when the standards for the beauty contest changed.
In 1952, the age range for contestants was set at 18 to 28. They were also required to be single.
However, last year, the organization allowed women aged 18 to 73 to compete.
The organization announced in September that it would increase the upper age requirement for the upcoming Miss Universe competition, which will be held in 2024. R.Bonney Gabriel, who was 28 years old when she won the title in 2022, is the oldest competitor in the history of the competition.
According to Ms. Rodriquez, who is 60 years old, her appearance is attributed to her healthy lifestyle and active daily life.
She said she follows a healthy diet and stays physically active.
For her healthy lifestyle, Ms. Rodriquez said she follows an intermittent fasting regime.
She also enjoys eating organic food and using good creams. She also gets active by walking and jogging regularly.
She noted that among the 35 participants, the oldest one was 73 years old.
Rodriguez stated that there was no age limit in the competition.
She is thrilled to be participating in such an event and is proud to be associated with modern beauty pageants.
